Writing book reviews
After finishing a book, you can write a review to share your thoughts and earn extra points!
How to write a review
- Go to the book’s detail page
- Click Write a Review
- Fill out the review form:
- Rating - How many stars (1-5)?
- What I liked - Your favorite parts
- What I didn’t like - Anything you’d change
- My review - Your overall thoughts
- Submit your review
Review guidelines
Write helpful reviews by:
- Being specific about what you liked or didn’t like
- Avoiding spoilers (don’t give away the ending!)
- Being respectful and constructive
- Writing in your own words
Reviews are checked before being published. Make sure to follow the guidelines!
Earning points
Your reviews are scored based on:
- Thoughtfulness - Did you explain your opinions?
- Detail - Did you mention specific parts of the book?
- Helpfulness - Would this help someone decide to read the book?
Higher quality reviews earn more points toward your reading level!
Viewing your reviews
Go to My Reviews in the sidebar to see:
- All reviews you’ve submitted
- Review status (pending, approved, or needs revision)
- Points earned from each review
Review status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|
| Pending | Your review is being checked |
| Approved | Your review is published and points awarded |
| Rejected | Your review needs changes - check the feedback |
